Hua Mui Restaurant, established in 1946, is one of Johor Bahru’s oldest Hainanese restaurants, with over 80 years of history.

Mr. Chiang Kia Boon, from Hainan, China, was one of the co-founders who helped establish the restaurant. It has preserved Authentic Hainanese Flavors while blending with Malaysia’s diverse culinary culture, creating a distinctive Nanyang style. Today, it stands as a symbol of Johor Bahru’s rich culinary heritage.

Halal Certification

A dedicated Halal Certification Department oversees compliance across the supply chain and dining operations, from ingredient sourcing to preparation. The department also conducts staff training to ensure all processes strictly follow Halal standards, offering a safe and compliant dining experience. We aim to expand Halal certification to all branches, broadening our reach to serve a diverse customer base and strengthening the brand’s market competitiveness.
